Bespoke & custom wooden pallets

Built around your goods, handling method and destination — from machinery and components to oversized, awkward or long loads.

The design brief

The information that shapes the pallet

You do not need to know technical pallet terms. Tell us what is being moved and what happens to it from packing bench to destination; we will turn that into a specification for confirmation.

  1. 01 / Size

Start with the goods, not a standard footprint

We work from the required footprint, length and width, then account for overall height or clearance limits around the packed load. There is no advertised hard maximum: unusually large or long builds are assessed from the final brief.

  2. 02 / Load

Weight is only part of the load picture

Tell us the approximate total weight, where the goods make contact and whether the load is evenly spread or concentrated at point loads. Support points, stacking and racking conditions matter; a pallet does not have one universal capacity in every use.

  3. 03 / Handling

Design around the equipment and journey

Forklift or pallet-truck access, conveyors, lifting points, stacking and racking requirements are considered together. Entry direction and base layout remain subject to the equipment and agreed specification.

Construction options

A build agreed around the application

Deck

Board spacing and thickness, open or close-boarded layouts, and plywood-top options can be discussed around the way the goods are supported.

Base

Bearers, blocks, runners or a perimeter base can be considered, with entry access agreed against the handling equipment rather than assumed.

Timber and materials

Timber and material choices are discussed to the specification, intended journey and destination. We do not promise that every material suits every design.

Location and restraint

Locating blocks, chocks, drilled fixing points and, where suitable, brackets or bolted restraints can be included in an agreed design.

Export treatment is specified separately

Heat-treated, ISPM 15-marked solid wood options can be discussed where the destination requires them. Non-heat-treated construction may be appropriate for other journeys; not every bespoke pallet is inherently certified or marked.

Heat treatment is not weatherproofing, sterilisation or load certification. If assembled compliant wood packaging is altered, it may require reassessment, re-treatment and re-marking. We confirm destination requirements against the order.

From brief to supply

A short, practical route from the goods you need to move to a confirmed pallet build.

  1. 01

    Brief

Share dimensions, approximate load, quantity, destination and handling details.

  2. 02

    Confirm

We confirm the design, specification and quote before manufacture.

  3. 03

    Supply

The agreed pallet is manufactured and supplied for the confirmed application.

Start with what you know

Have approximate dimensions, load, quantity, destination and handling method ready if you can. You do not need a finished drawing or technical pallet vocabulary.

Bespoke pallet questions

What information do you need to quote a bespoke pallet?
Approximate length, width and any height or clearance limit are a useful start. Add the load weight, how that weight is distributed, quantity, destination and how the pallet will be lifted, stacked or stored. If some details are unknown, our team can help you work through them.
Do I need a technical pallet drawing?
No. A drawing can help, but you do not need to know pallet terminology. Dimensions of the goods, photographs or a sketch, approximate weight and a description of the handling journey are enough to begin the conversation.
Can a custom pallet be designed for an uneven or point load?
The design can account for where the goods touch the pallet and whether the weight is concentrated or evenly spread. Capacity is not universal: support points, deck layout, handling and racking all need to be agreed for the specific load before manufacture.
Which deck and base arrangements are available?
Options discussed to specification can include open or close-boarded decks, different board spacing and thickness, plywood tops, bearers, blocks, runners or a perimeter base. Entry access is agreed around the forklift, pallet truck, conveyor or other equipment that will handle it.
Can you add blocks, chocks or fixing points?
Locating blocks, chocks, drilled fixing points and, where suitable, brackets or bolted restraints can be considered as part of an agreed design. The right arrangement depends on the goods, restraint method and handling journey.
Can a bespoke pallet be supplied for export?
Heat-treated, ISPM 15-marked solid wood options can be discussed where the destination requires them, while non-heat-treated construction may be appropriate for other journeys. Treatment is not weatherproofing, sterilisation or load certification. Altering assembled compliant wood packaging may require reassessment, re-treatment and re-marking, so destination requirements are confirmed for the order.
