A 1200 x 800 mm pallet is a Euro-size pallet. It becomes an EPAL pallet only when the physical pallet carries the appropriate valid EPAL marking. We never apply the EPAL name to a pallet on the strength of its footprint, its condition or its supplier.
If your customer, contract or receiving site specifies EPAL, say so on your enquiry. If the footprint is what matters, the wider Euro-size range on this page usually gives you more options.

- Does a Euro-size pallet meet export requirements?
- Footprint has no bearing on export treatment. ISPM 15 applies to solid wood packaging and is confirmed separately by the presence of a correct legible IPPC mark. Presswood, plastic and metal are not solid wood, so ISPM 15 timber treatment does not apply to them. Confirm the requirements for your destination before shipping.
- How does 1200 x 800 mm compare with 1200 x 1000 mm?
- Both are handled by standard forklifts and pallet trucks. The Euro footprint is narrower, so the choice usually comes down to the product being shipped and the racking or vehicle bed it has to fit. Measure the load rather than the pallet, since overhang causes most transit damage.
